Dobrich Hospital is a public medical facility in Dobrich city centre, Bulgaria. Following installation of the Airius PureAir system in their Orthopaedic, Surgical and ER departments in 2020 the hospital were eager to explore further high-risk infection areas, including ambulance vehicles.
Ambulances are a common source of contamination for hospitals. In an effort to reduce the risk of infections introduced to the hospital from ambulances, in particular the SARS-CoV-2 virus, Airius worked with Dobrich Hospital to supply an effective vehicular air and surface purification solution.
The Airius NPBITM system from GPS was specified and installed into a pre-contaminated ambulance for testing. Within 20 minutes of the NPBITM system being activated airborne particulate matter had reduced by 98%.
